As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. You bring culinary creativity and strong leadership skills to guide your team. Your expertise in budget management (cost control and revenue optimization) and your ability to maintain high standards of hygiene, quality, and presentation will be key assets.
Task description:
Customer Experience and Culinary Creation

Design menus by integrating trends and customer preferences.

Work with the F&B Director on menu creation.

Collaborate with the Sales team to create unique culinary experiences for banquets, parties, and other special events.

Continuously monitor customer satisfaction.
Team Management

Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team to achieve our high standards of quality and presentation.

Oversee the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new kitchen staff.

Maintain team engagement and ensure clear, effective communication with other departments.
Operations Management

Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchens in terms of hygiene, food safety, and compliance with MAPAQ standards.

Select and negotiate with suppliers, plan and control orders.

Manage inventories and ensure the quality of products.

Control food costs, optimize expenses, and maximize revenue.

Participate in budget planning for the kitchen department.
Skills:
-
Education: A diploma or certificate in culinary arts is required.

At least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar position.

Strong skills in team management, coaching, and motivation.

Proficient in food hygiene standards and safety regulations.

Excellent culinary techniques, attention to detail, and creativity.

Comfortable interacting with customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
Languages:
- French and English bilingualism is required in this position because we serve an international clientele.
